Photo & Diary

  • Accumulative Desires

We were both combating jet lag of 16 hours, but overall it’s been a good day. The weather was pleasant and we walked quite a bit around the city of Brisbane. I crossed the river by myself on the Neville Bonner Bridge while my companion tried to rest a bit. Midway through, suddenly I questioned in my mind why I was doing what I was doing. “Am I doing this simply because that’s what other people do?”

  • Story Bridge Stories

If the bridge could talk, what stories would it tell us?

  • Passengers of This Transient Life

I’m composing this post at an airline lounge in San Francisco while waiting for our connecting flight. By the time we arrive at our destination, we would be in a different time zone and I would have missed one day of posting. So I’m trying to schedule tomorrow’s entry and hope it works out fine..

  • Flying Away From Albuquerque

The month of July has started. So is our next journey. I captured this image while we were flying away from Albuquerque. Mixed thoughts came to my mind..

    To be continued..

  • Last Day of June

Today is the last day of June. Looking back, it has been quite a month. But essentially not much has changed. Someone once told me that in life it’s a good thing that all stays the same. I get the point. However, I also believe that the only constant is change. We all need to be aware of that.

  • Good Night from Santa Fe

Another day is nearly over. Another journey awaits. Good night, Santa Fe.

  • Queer As We Are

Come to think of it, this premature agave is just as queer as we are.. (and we love it anyway..)

  • Happy and Pride

We left home later than we initially planned. The parade was already over by the time we arrived at the plaza. Truth be told, I was still pondering whether we should go or not after breakfast. So it wasn’t a surprise that we missed the whole parade. Still, I managed to capture some images. As always, we left the event prematurely and left me wishing we could have stayed longer.

Happy Pride. Happy and Pride. Sometimes you simply cannot have them both.

  • Calmness After the Rain

We received some rain this afternoon, which was helpful but far from enough. However the colors of the sky were serenely beautiful..

  • Thorny Beauties

I heard drops of rain last night. The air was cool and crisp in the morning. This morning’s sunlight was so gentle that I decided to step outside and let the sunshine falling on my skin. Then I noticed these cactus flowers. I went back in quickly to grab my camera..
