I discovered this message written in chalk on pedestrian paths all over our community today. Some look pretty fresh. But a few look like someone tried to erase the information.

On the way to the recently restored farm windmill, nobody can miss this tree. I have captured countless variations of the same image. Funny I probably will never get tired of seeing or capturing this tree. There’s something about it that fascinates me. It’s full of possibilities, full of potential, full of life..

The budding yellow flowers of Forsythia are always the first indication that spring is not far away.
Although I spent a large amount of time in Taiwan this winter, from what I’ve heard it has been a pretty mild winter. It definitely is not a complaint, but I for sure am looking forward for spring to come. Working in the garden is therapeutic for me, very much like taking a walk towards the end of the day..

A large collection of stickers on one side of a utility box. Quite a few of them up there I actually recognize. Some of them voice the world we inhabit while many of others promote certain businesses. No surprise there. That’s the world we all live in.

This is one of my favorite spots in our neighborhood. I still remember that many years ago that when my companion and I went out for long walk together. This was the place where he was looking forward to. I’m sure he still makes a stop there and takes a break during his routine walk.
I can picture him sitting there, adjusting his breathing right now in my head..

It’s a mixed emotions I experienced the second this image was captured. I stood there for another brief moment before moving on. Before last June, I was so sure that this would be the place for us for the rest of our lives.
The road was clear. Unfortunately I couldn’t say the same for my head..

I went back to the ranch windmill again today before sunset. Walked around the windmill several times, I struggled to find a different perspectives. Then for a second I thought I was not alone. It was only my shadow on the metal water tank that hasn’t been functional since years..

Located west of Avenida Casa del Oro, there was this lonely windmill metal stand erected in the middle of the wilderness when we moved here seven years ago. I’ve been wondering if someone would ever fix it one day ever since. And it happened today.
I made my way there late this afternoon and captured more than a dozen images. I was fascinated by it. Enchanted by it almost.. I kept staring at the windmill head, watching the blades spinning patiently, and I lost track of time..

This is something I probably will never get tired of.
I’m talking about watching sunset. Whether I’m home or traveling, I look forward to witnessing the sunset at the end of each day..

We went out for a walk this morning. I was having severe jet lag and wasn’t really up for it at first. Since it was my companion who suggested it, I decided to accompany him.
I captured this image while he was taking a brief break. I’ve missed walking with him when I was far away in Taiwan taking care of my Mom. I vowed that I’d never leave his side once I’m back. And I intend to do so.
