It was completely not in the forecast. Out of the blue we received quite a bit of downpour this afternoon. Normally we’d be extremely happy to get this much of rain, but we were just informed by our general contractor that he found several cracks on the parapet walls above our house. This amount of rain no doubt puts me on edge..
Today’s June 2nd, 2026. The forecast says that the weather would change later today. Guess they got it right this time..
When we drove home from downtown, the sky started to change. Just when I was about to close the garage door, it got windy suddenly and tumbleweeds were rolling in frightening speed. I looked up at the sky, a patch of dark cloud was hanging over our neighborhood. I half expected that the weather was going to get worse. But an hour or so later, the sun was shining again.
It’s a reminder that sometimes dark clouds are just dark clouds; no rain was guaranteed..
