I know, I know, I know… It doesn’t get easier if I keep waiting for the right moment. It was my idea to move here from New York. And It was a decision that stunned most of our friends. What happened last year changed something. On top of that, this country is on an uncertain path and the future looks grim as far as we can see.. I’m torn.. and something is got to happen..
Came back from a five-day trip yesterday and found so many plants in our yard have blossomed. Including this single yellow Mexican Hat flower, which to me looks like a ballerina dancing on its own..
The gardeners cleaned up our backyard quite nicely. It would have taken me days to achieve what they have done in under four hours.
Oftentimes I look at our backyard and think what we could do or be doing there. Maybe set up two garden chairs and just sit there and absorb it all.. A quieter life. That’s what drove us to make the decision and move here. But now here we are, this could-be wonderland is still rarely touched..

Look how elaborated the latte art is! We went to the Mille on W Alameda Street earlier this afternoon and my companion had his usual. I was impressed by their latte art. It’s so beautifully done that I had to document it. I captured this image when my companion was photographing his Mexican Mocha.
They never stood a chance. The first few cactus flowers were devoured by ants and bees soon after they were opened. I captured this image an hour ago and am pretty sure these flowers would be gone by the end of the day. I didn’t dare to get too close as there were bees having their feast. Perhaps I should locate where my tele lens is..
Today has been quite an interesting day. Lots of things happened and I’ve made progress on various tasks. Sometimes I wonder if all I’m doing has any purpose or value. I know I tend to overthink. So for now I’ll just enjoy yet another spectacular sunset..

What a view to end the first day of June, the Pride Month. We know the world is far from perfect, but let’s not forget all the beautiful things around us. Have a peaceful, progressive Pride Month that celebrates love, everyone..
Today is the last day of May, which means Pride Month starts tomorrow. I decorated my window with a Progress Pride flag, even though barely anyone else could see it. I display it because I’m proud of who I am, and definitely done with fear of being judged.
