On this first day of September, I went out for a run in the morning. I didn’t go to Cerro Alto Trailhead as I planned to. My companion thought that the trail condition could be messy due to yesterday’s surprise downpour. I understood he meant well and didn’t insist.
To mark a new beginning of this month, I deleted my main Pixelfed account permanently. It was only a matter of time. Plus I no longer see the point of having it anymore. So, adiós Pixelfed.
It was completely not in the forecast. Out of the blue we received quite a bit of downpour this afternoon. Normally we’d be extremely happy to get this much of rain, but we were just informed by our general contractor that he found several cracks on the parapet walls above our house. This amount of rain no doubt puts me on edge..
I suppose tonight is one of those nights that I can’t seem to be able to even try to look at the bright side..
Another rather quiet day in Eldorado. My companion had a PT appointment this afternoon. Afterwards we went to Java Joe’s on Rodeo Road for our usuals. The temperature wasn’t too bad today. Or perhaps we’ve gotten used to the heat.
On our way back, we made a little excursion and drove by the other house that we were interested in when we were looking for our next home. Sometimes I wonder if things would have been different if we had made a different decision..
If you haven’t already noticed, I’m fascinated by clouds. They are never the same. They constantly change form and each moment is unique. What you see right now will not be the same the next second. It’s a great reminder that nothing lasts forever..
Not much to report today, but look at this.. Entirely Mother Nature’s creation. Absolutely no A.I.
In order to avoid the heat I went out and worked in the yard as soon as I finished my daily Españo course this morning. I filled up all the bird feeders when I noticed they were completely empty. And I saw a ground squirrel for the first time in our backyard..
It’s mundane but I don’t mind a bit. I’m quite content with a life like this..
